On the afternoon of the second day in Bahia Santa Maria a swell came in and stranded over 70 people on the beach till morning.  A story to tell for a long time.  Steve Pepper said “You know it’s rough when the ponga drivers are wearing life jackets.  A half hour later they said it was too rough and went home.
